thanks for your reply i will look into it, maybe with the red light still being on shows the maf was just one of the problems ... brain strain lol

how much did these cost you and i have fitted the new maf and its alot better but the red light is still on but alot more power now ... do i need too get anything reset too make the light go off or does this mean i have more problems thanks for taking the time too reply

right here goes (my spellings not very good) .... i have got a 1998 2.0L Diesel Freelander and the red engine light is on and the car is running slow ... flatout just hits 50mph or less .... i have orderd a new maf at a price! ... but i was also told before i spend any money if i disconnect...

the problem i have is i bought a second hand maf and think its faulty and ive orderd a new one for tomorrow but i dont fancy spending money out if it is just going to be a waste ... plus had my engine cheked today and it came back with error code 18 has anyone any ideas what that could be as my...

if a sensor has faulted on the engine if i unplug it should that make the red engine maintenenace light go off!

found the problem and all seems tobe sorted now ... the sensor on the air pipe was faulty so i changed that and all back to normal now :)

other sympton is the engine is running very under powerd now

i know this is an old post but here goes :) i have got the red engine managment light on and i was going too try the cooler sensor but i have no idea where abouts on the engine it is ... i have a freelander diesel 2.0 L ... or any links too videos on youtube would be good also, thanks all in...
