Update: Shock absorbers were stuffed on the front. New ones installed and the car is a whole lot better. Death wobble seems to have subsided, took the car up to 70mph on dual carriage ways and seemed to cope just fine. Other than a huge pot hole which did cause a bit of shudder but nothing like...

As it says on the tin...Do all 300 Tdi discos have R380 gear boxes?
For example a very early 1994 300 tdi? Any fitted with LT77s?

I am going to be changing the gear box oil in my 1995 Discovery 300tdi manual.
I have 2.3 litres left of my 5 litre bottle from my last change on the TD5. I cannot get the same brand in less than 5 litre bottles. When I only need 0.4 litres, I feel miffed off buying another 5 litres of the...

I've actually got myself the oils ready to do gear box, transfer box, diffs, new fuel filter, and ACE filter ready to do. Looking forward to doing this.

Thanks Nick.
I must say, its raining heavily outside at present, my 300tdi would have a gear stick gaiter full of water. So far so good, no leakage on this new one. A positive!

I have found some rust at the bottom of the drivers front door pillar at the bottom. Is this pretty easy to get sorted? Anyone else had the same?
(Will try figure out how to upload a photo incase clarity is needed...
