Ah yeh mine too new for that diagnostic I think, there is a few options as far as I can see, the icar o e mentioned earlier is £98 on ebay and appears to do all the same stuff but I'm just hesitant when something comes from eBay haha

Anyone done this 'Hard reset' before ? Aparently it resets the BCM and ECU which could clear any uncleared faults ? Or maybe this secret diagnostic menu thing on the satnav ? Please forgive me if this is all rookie junk

Well there is a jaguar and land rover specialist round the corner called S & C motors so maybe give them a Tey if the dealer won't help

Oh and the key program I was following is to turn key to position 1 and back, then remove key and hold unlock button and press lock button 3 times and release all buttons then press both lock and unlock together

Thanks mate appreciate all the info, the dealer closest to me is well known for being very expensive but I suppose as you say they are the best people ultimately for the job. I'm going to call and book a slot for diagnostics today and explain it's the same fault they are supposed to have...

Thanks I think I may just get one anyway as it seems a useful bit of kit, I do want to keep the car as I do like it alot, just don't know alot about them or how reliable they are. They seem to have their issues but the rewards outweigh the negatives possibly. Thanks again

Yeh £1100 and they think it's a seperase issue so will charge for diagnostics. I read up it might be the BCM being in transport mode but apart from buying a diagnostic unit to clear this mode I have no idea on how to sort it. Just wondered if anyone here had the same issue and fixed it. I...
