yes Johnlad that is what the garage have told me needs doing. i have now had both batteries changed and BMS reset and the stop start is working again cheers for all your help

yeah that is my worry that i wont be able to do the reprogramming i went to a dealership and they quoted me £180 +vat just to look at it

Hi all I have had a quote for both batteries to be changed on my 64 plate discovery 4 firstly the quote is for £396 and this includes fitting. Secondly does the discovery need programming after new batteries are fitted. Thirdly can i do the batteries myself and does it need reprogramming. Thanks...

Cheers Just been reading up about the battery changing and my vehicle has the BMS battery management system on it and will need resetting by dealer is this correct?

are you talking about the main battery or the second smaller battery
