Just noticed this post. If you need chains on car suggest you buy another 4 x 4 or decent set of tyres. I spend two months in French Alps every year and have never carried chains or even looked like needing them. Have used a Pajero and Land Cruiser though. Have Range Rover now hope it works ok...
