    Thanks all for your replies! The probelms I have is not the top speed, its quit all right, but the high RPM the engine does at about 75 km/h. The Mercedes engine is powerfull and i dont have to change gear from forth and down unless i'm going under 35 km/h. thats why i do think an overdrive...

    Yes it has the standard gearbox. The only change is the engine. Gustav

    Hi! I want to fit an overdrive to my landrover Series 3 stw. It has an mercedes 300D engine but i do not need the top speed but rather lower RPM that an OD can give. Do you have any suggestions (is that how it's spelled) I'm from sweden so please have patiens with my spelling Regards Gustav
