Check the wiring that goes from the engine to the ECU, you'll most probably find oil / water will have made its way from the engine harness to the ECU giving you these problems.
Normally a case of drying it all out and all should be well.

Hello knowledgeable folk.
Can I remove my rear floor (SWB) and replace the supports (and top hats) with the tub on?
Noticed that a few have holes in…….
Thanks

Thank you all,
Great advice as always - scotch bright out and store away then 👍🏻

So I managed to find a decent 2 1/2 petrol 3MB cylinder head at Malvern this weekend. It’s cleaned up really well and not bad for £20. The number on my head is ERC 5899 but the other is 568750.
Both look the exact same and the spare seems to have less wear on the valves etc.
Also, should I...

I had this, found it was one of the springs on the rear which was pulling the cylinder back in. Check springs :)
Mine was 3 & 8 on the pic above. rather than go to the stud on the back plate the spring went shoe to shoe

Series 3 - No charging light - Me old thread

Ive just had this me self......it was the rectifier on the alternator. The build did light up though when i put an earth on it. I suddenly had no ignition bulb light and all charging stopped. New alternator cured it.

Steve you were right :). Once i got my fat ass in the drivers seat both sides seemed to level out (+/- 1/2 an inch). Mystery solved, thank you all.

Not exactly sticking out sideways but not inline with the front wings. One FWH is inline with the wheel arch the other side is about an inch short. So getting some weight on the drivers seat may even the measurement out (as the springs compress etc).

Thanks Steve,
Very useful mate. Once it stops raining I'll pop outside and have a look at the springs / measure with me in the seat. I think this will be the problem as everything else lines up. Might make me get some parabolics :).

yes Steve, its just the measurements from the FWH up to the wheel arch. One FWH is level, the other is about an inch under.
Drives fine etc etc
