Here it is for a facelift. Power comes from position "1" on the ignition barrel (I don't know what that means), through F6, through the inhibit switch on the transmission, and in to the immobiliser. If the vehicle starts then it's probably working.

I don't know anything about your problem, I don't know how the auto box works, but you say "there is no power to the inhibitor". Looking at the circuit diagram, the "INHIBIT" within the 'SELECTOR" looks to get power from fuse F35 in the...

Removing the dash is something that sounds very simple.... However, in actual fact is anything but!

I could feed that code into my Testbook T4 and see how it interprets it. Might take me a little while though.

Just to update those taking interest, I removed the fault codes and recalibrated the gyro, having remade the connection next to the handbrake. Today I’ve started the vehicle twice and driven 10 miles each time on a mix of rough dirt terrain (I’m...

If you download the Rave workshop manual there is a section that has pictures of all connectors with a description of where they are... https://landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/rave-disk-maintenance-manual.260227/ The connector for that relay (C1976...

Agreed. We have (relatively) big panels on our campers (340w) and they kick out quite a lot of power when the conditions are right and although we replace the house batteries every 3 years, the starters that they also charge last double that...

If there's no charge controller between the solar panel and battery, the voltage will climb high enough to boil the battery. Even a cheap Chinese £10 charge controller will prevent battery damage...

GrumpyGel replied to the thread Ignition locked.
If you insert the key and wiggle the steering wheel as you turn it, I'm sure the key and steering wheel will turn. That's the way steering locks on that and previous generations of cars have worked. The immobiliser does not stop the key or...

GrumpyGel replied to the thread Ignition locked.
If you put the key in the ignition you can release the steering. Yes it has an immobiliser, the key needs to be in the ignition - but the immobilier doesn't lock the steering - it will just stop the engine cranking or starting and a LED will...
