Thanks to all. Finally got the problems solved. Front sensor was an aftermarket new one that didn’t work and ended up putting a Wabco second hand one in and worked. The other problem with the inlet valve open circuit was an internal failure of...

Anything written in the paperwork or fusebox cover? Back of sunvisor?!

Theoretically but the last movement when timing has to be towards the engine and it is very fiddly so I wouldn't rely on it. Mine's timed up as per RAVE. My only concern with Datatek's method is the possibility of masking chain stretch too much...

Coming out of Tesco's this afternoon had to stop to let pedestrians cross. There were 2 oriental lads beaming and smiling at the Rangie. They both got their phones out and started taking pics. Then stood there giving me the thumbs up sign with...

Could be the matrix inside is breaking down. It can affect running too. I blew MrGorsky's out the back and all over my lawn by flooring it! Yours is twin exhaust? @MrGorsky had sone fun with getting exhaust parts the right size. A certain...

Disco 2's have traction control... The centre diff in the LT230 likes to destroy itself if it spins too fast/long :( If my Disco 1 wasn't such a ****box, I'd get Ashcroft ATBs front, centre and rear: Then it'd be like a proper AWD on the road...

As long as the tool stays in place you can take the pump in and out with no issues. You'll have to time it up afterwards anyway.

Wammers did some detailed responses on this. I can't remember who he was helping. There is indeed another hole just before the TDC one. You don't want to be 180° out either.

So since its been sat outside home looking sorry for itself and hasn't even been started since the 28th of may when it flagged a fault, Fired right up and i took it too the 24hr garage (a whole 0.4 miles each way) But.... i did see my pal who has...

Update - gave the connector a squirt the other day and yesterday while running the car after doing the heater core o-rings guess what reappeared? The SRS light. I now suspect it’s one of the wires where it enters the connector opposed to the...

Original props are out of phase. Britpart in phase. Are yokes free to move? Vibration from props usually felt through the seat rather than the steering wheel.

On Saturday I changed the discs, pads and parking brake shoes as well as flushing the brake fluid. I also repainted the calipers while there ahead of the long awaited wheel refurb that it so desperately needs. On Sunday morning I decided to...

Pressing the mileage reset gets rid of the airbag fault message until the next ignition cycle.

No, not really, a very gentle slide down the camber on black ice into a roadside ditch fired the bloody thing.. Loud explosion and it filled the car with smoke. Not pleasant and totally useless as it inflated behind the seat

Right so quick update - drove back from a cycle to the unit to dump the bike etc and had a quick nose under the seat to check which connector. Moved it slightly and now the SRS light is gone with no message either - so thankfully not the clock...

Started taking the rad out of the scrapper then realised it was original and being an automatic had no fittings for the manual cooler. Reassembled, bled etc. and lost an hour. Went for the red one and took the rad out. Swapped both it and the...

I got bored and fed up. Reset gearbox adaptions. All the clunks and hard shifts have gone. It's like a new car! Obviously when i paid the garage to do it and asked "have you done it" the dude obviously lied because it was no better. If you want...

Tbh it is no bad thing. Letting the torque spin out protects the driveline to an extent The issue with the m57 is that it makes a lot of torque very low down I have put a pneumatic centre diff lock in but I doubt I will ever use it unless I get...

Definitely not a roar on start up, actually come to think of it, it was roaring on startup….but now not…start vehicle and the fan is operating very quietly all the time.. I’ll do the newspaper test and get sniff test..

Exactly wot I’d got in mine ^^^. First aid, compressor, random emergency tools like a 10mm +\-driver, water, ropes, d shackles, they were really handy like when my rad pipe burst - you just grab the one you need and all the bits are there to...

I put up pictures in a post maybe 12 years ago. Swapped motors over from an MGF lock of the same vintage as mine.

No viscous coupling or traction control on the Disco? I guess limited slip diffs front and rear would help. Not sure how you'd manage the centre diff.

Got the 3d printer working again to make an adapter plate to fit a bee sting antenna so I have decent FM/DAB/GPS reception. The factory shark fin was cracked and no longer worked. God it leaves behind a big hole, bigger than aftermarket fixing nuts.
