Well it happened agin today, but this time it has split in a different place. I called Lee Perry Land Rover and he suggested it could be inferior fuel pipes. I'm going to try some uprated return hose over the weekend - Failing that I'm going to torch it.

Yep, pipes fixed 1 week later less than 100 miles same fuel pipe split in exactly same place with same outcome - smell of fuel in cabin and map of Wales on the drive.

I'm currently trawling for an o/s wing mirror for a Freelander 1 - they seem to pop up on Fleabay, however, they are incomplete or downreet expensive. Has anyone got a comlete unit for sale which doesn't require the sale of a Kidney. Groover
