Has anyone ever used a hi-lift jack for it's intended purpose?
Yes if under the front or rear towbar is correct. Then push the vehicle over out of the ruts. Use it on the trailer aswell. Been saying il get a new jokey wheel for the last 8 years.
Bought cheap second hand brackets for it in the...

Yes it's the one iv got. Got it from eBay. If you get one. I'd make sure the one you get has the stop bolt for the pipe length. If you're always doing brake pipes you can judge it. But I usually go years between so it's helpful having the length set first.

Do you mean like this? Iv just upgraded to it from borrowing a cheap Chinese one that does lots of size pipes. Got on really well with the new one yesterday and the pipe joints didn't leak.

Iv started using epoxy primer. Have been using it like a sealer. You clean up the metal and remove as much rust as possible. The you can spray or brush it on. I then use a zinc phosphate primer followed by chassis black or an enamel paint.

Don't worry about it. Let her drive. If it breaks down its broken down.
My wife uses mine when her 2015 golf is broken. She does 2 hours of driving a day with country lanes and motorway. Normally take the insa turbos off it for her tho. They call her Vera and play the sound track when she's...

I use RTC3511 which is the twin lipped type. Better in opinion. It has 2 springs on it.
Both types are interchangeable tho.

Sorry chaps.

Get a new bosch one. They're around £60-70. Had a starting problems for years after fitting another make. Spent lots of money replacing other parts.
Bosch one has been perfect for 3 years. People in my motor club don't cheer when it starts now!

Either a small litre bottle with the flexible top. Or a sports drink bottle will work well. I carry one full of oil for when I go away if incase I need a top up.
Iv got a little sealey bottle with a pump on the top for in the garage. Works well. Tho only have it as it was a Christmas present.

Normally you replace the shock absorbers in pairs. If the springs are OK id leave them. If your vehicle is old you could replace the lot. You can get new take off springs and shocks for under £200. If you just replace the shocks I recommend Armstrong. They're very good quality and sensibly...

I cut open a britpart oil filter yesterday. It had done nearly 4,000 miles. I usually change the oil at 3,000 miles on my 200tdi defender
