Anyone reconise this Stud axle/hub/drive shaft set up.

Evening guys. Im hunting down a troublesome noise from my front axle and decided to do a rebuild of both wheel stations. I have done the N/S without any troubles, replacing all seals in the swivel ball/hub/stub axle as well as the raiko bush/bearing and wheel bearings while I'm at it. I've...

    1993 D90 Bonnet sound proofing.

Hi Guys, Does anyone know if the soundproofing under the bonnet of a 1993 defender is asbestos? Mines in a bad way and I want to remove it. But if it's that nasty stuff I might be a bit more careful. Cheers guys

    Am I over heating?

Fair enough. I guess each engine can run slightly different due to history, workload etc. Cheers Possibly, it was new when I did the timing belt 3 months ago though. Cheers guys

    Am I over heating?

Thank you for your reply, really helpful information. As I stated, I was just asking for advice and options as I've read alot about how these engines don't get hot. There's always one unhelpful comment mind.

    Am I over heating?

That's from when I was in the Army, it took the shine of the canister and was common practice on anything shiny Or this is the reason

    Am I over heating?

I'd really rather not haha. But it would be nice to chuck the stat in a pan of boiling water and check it's operation.

    Am I over heating?

I'll give that a go some time this week and update this thread. I had done a quick flush and new coolant only a few months ago but it can't hurt to do it again and check with the IR probe. Which will hopefully save me from having to disturb them dam stat bolts

    Am I over heating?

Yeah something is definitely wrong. I plan on a a full system flush and to give the radiator a good rinse and see where I am then.

    Am I over heating?

Ive shown with my test that the gauge and and sender are working correctly and that if the needle reaches that point on the guage the coolant is at 100c, my problem is that everyone seems to say 200TDIs don't run that hot...

    Am I over heating?

haha sound. Yeah I have on of them somewhere i've always just questioned their accuracy and the fact they only give surface temps, but ill give it a go and see if anything jumps out. Cheers

    Am I over heating?

Hi folks, I've had my 200TDI defender for about 6 months now and the water temp needle has always sat bang in the middle of the guage since I've had it. It is mainly used only at weekends and not as a daily driver. This last week I have had to use it for the drive to work. Only a 20 minute...
