i get ya i think money is tight for a lot of people these days i do all my work on my front drive in the crap weather lol i even painted my double cab base coat and laquer came out spot on too i was shocked that was about 5 years ago i think its due another paint the ally rust worm has started...

what a nightmare i feel for ya my 300 is coming out soon gonna go m57 auto as left leg cant handle the clutch anymore i do have a spare td5 laying around but i feel the m57 will be better for me do a lot ow towing heavy stuff and my 300 just aint got enough guts anymore so its going into a build...

ive had this same issue and it was my thermostat not opening at the rite temprature,ive since had 4 thermostats and not one of them open at 88 degrees i pulled a thermost out of a 300 tdi engine laying around and it worked perfectly overheating issue gone ive even removed the viscous fan still...

yup i get ya the disco setup is totally different wiring wise compared to defender if you didnt use the tdci dash you would have no were to stick the ecu i was thinking maybe in a sealed box under bonnet the wiring aint really the bigest problem as my current defender has 3 harnesses joined...

its a disco setup going into a 110 defender so will be a job and a half

if i was keeping edc would mean i would have to chop the disco one down to its main components to run the engine i am good with wires but would be a bit of a pain i think,i have a 300 tdi double cab and its a rocket boost pin and ring and it pulls like a train ,it maybe something i might...

you any idea what the electrical connections are on it ive got the kickdown cable hanging from the box ,need to find out what the connections are on the box ie speedo negative positive etc

hi ive got the cable that comes out of the box for the kick down just unsure about the electrical connections on the box i think one could be for speedo etc and maybe a live and a negative just more info about it would help me a lot

yup thanks for info this is what i planned to do ,does anyone have the wiring diagram for the box as i am sure there are 4 wires go to it one live one ground and not sure about rest lol any help would be cool also you need to chage the injectors if its edc as they run at higher pressure than 300...

Hi everyone got an n reg 300 tdi auto engine and box the engine is ecu type gonna pull pump off put mechanical one on anyone have any ideas how i get the box to work without all the stuff off the disco harness etc any help would be good

hi got a disco auto box and engine does anyone know if i need to run some kind of ecu to work the gearbox had nothing to do with auto boxes so i am totally in the dark the 300 is going into a 110 that is currently being rebuilt nut and bolt jobby had the engine running before donor was chopped...
