I am up to some greenlaning, I've got a 07 110 with mud tyres and not much else so would have to be something for the novice. I am not sure where to got myself I live near derby.

Manage it to get it on, just a case of using a big spanner on the end of the arm and pushing it downwards to release the tension.

I've had to take off the belt on my 2007 transit defender. I did this by releasing the tensioner but I am now stuck on how to put it back on. The spring is so strong I can't seem to move it so that the belt or bolt goes on. Any suggestions?

Ok finally got it done using the " hit it as hard as you can "! method. For those who have a transit powered defender and wan the viscous off then just use a large screwdriver or small chizel and wake the nut anti clockwise. i.e. facing the fan hit the left side down.

Sorry to bother you guys but I could do with some help. Has anyone taken off the viscous fan off a 2007+ defender i.e. the transit engine one. I am not sure which way to turn the nut.

Anyone know where the best place is to get a positive feed for the wires. I am new to the 2007+ models and it seems everything is hidden behind the dash??

I've seen posts about the conversion on the earlier models but ahs any oen done a fan conversion on a 2.4 2007 defender. My warranty is nearly over and was looking in reducing noise, improve cooling, improve mpg. Where is the best price for a kit these days? Cheers Alain

Lol, that's the basic model so ok for emergencies... Got it working. I opened the electric box above the winch and found that the earth wire had come off the spade connector. Reconnected and presto working. I also notice it was wired to the starter with no isolation switch :(. Is there any...

Thanks guys I will check if there is a switch somewhere and use a multimeter to check power to the unit above the winch. I don't think it's fitted by Landrover it's one of those chinese t-max 1250 winches.

Hiya, new to the forum and owner of an 07 110 that came with a winch. I can't get it to work. I know that the clutch lever on the outside is used to release the cable and then you engage it to use the motor but I nothing happens when I insert the remote cable ( and turn it clockwise a little)...
