Well I've done some extensive cost analysis and its a close run thing. the misses works out slightly more economical over the the next 5 years than the Freelander.. So the misses wins by a nose.. Selling the motor.

Hi, Is there a good time to trade in a Freelander? Or do you just keep runnning them till they die? I'm on Freelander No.3.. the first 2 where unmitigated money pits with series of costly repairs from engine rebuilds to drive shafts, but touch wood, No.3 has been ok so far. Its a 53...
