Just over bumps.speed humps.pot holes.when I'm on motorways it's fine.no kocking at all.once on normal roads it starts.

My freelander has started knocking from what sounds and feels like the drivers side footwell.what could it be.

The master cylinder had gone were the piston comes threw the bulk head.it came out of master cylinder causing the peddle to hit the dash.iv replaced the bracket because it had cracked on the bottom flange were the slave cylinder sits.it now all works fine.thank you everybody for your advice.

Could it be that iv set the pistons wrong in the slave and master cylinder.

Does anybody no if the freelander 1.8 petrol w reg has a bleed nipple to need up the clutch.
It has a complete unit for the slave and master cylinder.
Iv just replace it and the clutch has gone spongey and won't go into gear.

Iv just purchased a freelander 1.8 petrol 2000
Iv replaced the slave/master cylinder complete in one.
Iv started the car and now the clutch is spongey and won't go into gear.
Any suggestions.
