my misses disco failed mot on inner flitch plates/wings had them welded the guy used plate metal and moulded it to the inner wings as he said to replace them all the outer wings/lights/grill etc would need to be removed ! cost £300 mate off my dads !

hi guys here i am again ! my gf disco has 208 k on the clock still goin good but getting some transmission snatching when changing gear ! quite bad at times ! also some lurching at low speed in gear ! i know its got high milage and could be down to wear and tear but any cheap solutions ? thanks !

thanks for the replies and the tips ! got lock off and a screwdriver starting it ! new lock and keys orderd ! £35 not as bad as i thought ! once again thanks for all the advice !

cheers ! the steering lock wasnt on at first ! i wiggled the wheel and it locked ! it doesnt feel like anything as broken or fell apart inside !

hi ! can anyone help me ? my gf tried to start our discovery 300 this morning and the key wont turn at all in the lock ! tried the spare and this wont turn either ! the steering lock is on ! the key goes in and out of the ignition lock ok ! just wont turn to free steering lock or start engine ...

just bought a disco 300 tdi ! requires some welding to chassis , boot floor,and inner wings ! but cant find a reasonable priced welder or a welder who wants the work !!!! i live in melton mowbray leicestershire ! does any one know of one local ?? thanks garry !
