Thanks for that. So did they sort the wing mirrors? Mine just kept falling to pieces! So with a TD4 then I need to be looking for good service history on the oil changes yes? Anything else to look out for other than the usual stuff? Is there a buyer's guide on the forum anywhere? Cheers all Gareth

Hi I had a similar problem on my 3.0d X5, turned out to be as simple as a dirty injector, problem solved by dumping a bottle of diesel injector cleaner into a quarter full tank of diesel and then ragged it for half an hour. Filled up the tank after and was like a new engine! Hth Gareth
