errmmmm nope... I had a leak previously coming from the oile breather pipe and this was intern blowing oil back over the gear box, transfer box and so assumed that the oil was from this. Trying to remember now but how hard is it to change the seal?

Yes they were a tad worn and also a little oily. I bought a new drum, cable, shoes and springs, the whole shebang really. If the noise reappers I will post an update but I have thrown her about a bit since and she seems to be good as gold.

I changed the front and rear Prop-shaft and the noise disappeared, or so I thought. It reappeared. I checked the hand brake and this seemed to be catching so I replaced the whole parking/hand brake and so far the noise hasn't returned. Still not quite sure but the noise is gone.
