Definitely the right order of events, a couple of times before the first pipe burst the m/s and sport mode lights came on. I stopped turned off the ignition and they reset, all was fine again then the pipe went. thats why I am wondering if there is an underlying fault. Cheers Fuzrat

Just a guess but if cruise is set at say 65 on the motorway and you start going up a hill and the revs start dropping then it would need to change down a gear, being a manual it cant do this and would get bogged down.
