So i tested the 2 pins you suggested. Purple wire all the way. He cleared the gearbox fault. Couldnt clear the abs fault

Just done the continuity test and i have zilch across the purple wire. Does that mean i have a break in that wire? Update. I was incorrect partially, the chap couldnt read the faults but he had the option to clear them. Gearbox fault now gone since then. I have developed a misfire which i have...

I am not convinvced the data link has been checked properly based on the reply i have had. Please could i get some advice to try this myself. I have picked up the 2 ecus anyway as they were not astronomic money.

If the slabs went down on its own could you still connect to the other 4 ecus? Would the xyz switch be in the running as having an issue also? If i was to buy both ecus used off of ebay and try the tester to program them in would that be worth a punt?
