    Connecting phone through aux

    Hi. We just bought my daughter a 2009 Freelander 2. Have tried to connect phone through aux cable and USB Type C adapter to a Samsung Galaxy S21. Nothing comes through the speakers and phone says USB device not compatible. Any suggestions?
