Yes, there was a big change in 2001 for Freelanders. Let's hope there is a trick that @Hippo knows how to get new keys and fobs reprogrammed with Hawkeye Pro

Freelander 1 Td4 Key fob Programming with Hawkeye Total

Thank you @Nodge68 . I wasn't aware of this. It appeared from Hippos previous posts that this was possible. As I have to do this for a few cars I'm tempted to buy a device to reprogramme keys (if the Hawkeye Pro can't do this). Are you aware of a devise that could do this? Thanks again

    Thank you for your prompt reply @Hippo. If it helps it's for a 2005 Td4 and a 2005 1.8p

Hello All, if anyone is interested I've created a page on Facebook called "Freelander 1.8T Owners Club" please feel free to join. I've only just created it so there isn't anything on there but I hope it will help fellow owners to share great knowledge like on this thread. I'm not too sure if...

    Freelander 1 Freelander 1 PG1 gearbox problem

Thankyou @rob_bell , over these last couple of weeks I've managed to pick up so much good knowledge. It's really good to see people out there are willing to help. I think I'm going to go with the steel cage bearing upgrade on a PG1 gearbox. I'll see what info I can get from the earlier link...

    Freelander 1 Freelander 1 PG1 gearbox problem

Thank you for this info. Are there any Freelander kits out there as I understand the kits for the MG PG1 gear boxes either have additional bearing that are not all needed or are they slightly different?

Thanks for this link, I've just had a read and asked a question. They used the PG1 gearbox and I think the MG ZT-T clutch assembly (somehow).

Hi @monkfish24 I think we've had a few chats on the FB Freelander Owners Club webpage. I'm still in a dilemma about my gearbox and clutch. Did I read on hear you moved the flywheel sensor and some pipe which then allowed you to use the MG ZT-T clutch, flywheel, and housing?

    Freelander 1 Freelander 1 PG1 gearbox problem

Hello, Sorry to jump in on this thread, but I've been trying to find someone with Freelander Gearbox knowledge. I have a 1998 Freelander that I'm putting in a 1.8T engine in it. I'm currently trying to find the best way to manage this additional power (200 bhp) and torque (270 Nm) following a...

Hello Mikey, Firstly a massive congratulations on the great job you've done, not only to document each step but to also get it published. I've enjoyed reading the article and watching the YouTube clips so much that I've decided to do the same to mine. I currently have a 1998 1.8 K-series that...
