I'll keep fingers crossed it isn't water or earthing problems, carry a bunch of spare fuses and keep away from Evoques - just in case!

Sort of solved it - the number 15 fuse had blown. Now it all works again
Anyone got any thoughts on why it should blow ..... or is it just one of those things that can happen??

Back door won't open.
All doors - I cannot lock the car with the fob or unlock it after I have locked the doors manually
The central locking switch on the dash is not doing anything but I do hear a click from below the dashboard
The alarm sets and unsets as normal

Just to complete the story - I fitted the new sensor and it all worked. The three amigos went out on the first drive.
The electrics still puzzle me though. I got the following readings from the new sensor -
Resistance read open circuit before fitting
AC volts gave no reading after fitting the...

The sensors have only 2 wires - so if they are Hall sensors, does that mean that Andyfreelandy's suggestion of spinning the wheel is not going to work because they need a power supply?

I cut the drive shafts in half and then split the outer CVs. It didn't involve putting any strain on or going anywhere near the ABS cables though as it was all done in situ

First post for me - my beloved Freelander TD4 is old - 2003 and bits are beginning to wear out. I've been running it mondo for many years and when the rear wheel bearing went I decided to remove the rear diff and drive shafts as well to make changing it easier; no need to remove the whole hub...
