Flossie replied to the thread Are lift pumps getting worse?.
Correct. 4psi is the max pressure the pump can make against a dead head. It ticks away for a few seconds just before starting the engine then stops. I never hear it when the engines running. Makes bleeding the fuel system a doddle too. I fit 1/8"...

New expansion cap on. Now got normal pressure in the system!!

I gave up with them years ago. I use a facet 4psi pump, hole in the block capped off.

I got bored and fed up. Reset gearbox adaptions. All the clunks and hard shifts have gone. It's like a new car! Obviously when i paid the garage to do it and asked "have you done it" the dude obviously lied because it was no better. If you want...

Head overtemp alarm went off on the way home but needle bang on 12 o'clock. Reversed into the drive to clouds of white steam - sh1t! Radiator cracked along the top and ****ing coolant. That's a Nissens one that has been on maybe 10 years.

P38, front side wing indicator lens was cracked and looked a bit shabby. Got a used unit that had green gunk inside it, as I was trying to wash it out the clear lens dropped off the unit. Removing and Replacing the whole unit , which is what is...

Twas a long time ago and I can't do links cos I blagged the stuff off an electrical installation friend who has since died. He supplied me with plastic flexi conduit , different sizes but the stuff I used mainly was around 10/15mm from memory...

MOT passed at lunchtime. The tester had to block one side of the exhaust with a cloth to get a good reading for the emissions. The 4.4 TDV8 emits virtually fresh air, I am going to write to the DVLA with this evidence and I expect an apology and...

If it's for the left hand side AND you have the cd player/sub woofer, it won't fit. The right hand side is, I think, the same shape on all models.

It looks nice. If you're a bit OCD like me maybe Do another coat and run a golf ball over for the dimpled effect. Or an old piece of cracked leather for the same look as centre?

My LHD project car passed the MOT today, no advisories as such, just a comment about the front left tyre which looks OK to me.

I asked the same question when I was recommissioning my 38 around 3 yrs ago. The only plausible explanation is to help against vibration fractures but ...not convinced. I made exact copies anyway just in case.

Izzy got some fresh air over the weekend. The roof was lifted off in the garage and now hangs from the ceiling. Which is great as its out of the way...but is a bit of a blocker for a couple of the flourescent strip tubes... The side panels are...

Disc lock. The arm type ones like krooklock are next to useless. Pedal lock as well. They'll still try to nick your doors though but you can fit security type bolts to help there.

The filler was similar to silicon when dry, rubbery and prone to peeling rather than feathering out like body filler, pita but got it satisfactory eventually. First coat of black dye.

Filler surprisingly goes a long way. First pass, letting that go off, then another layer on the deeper damage, then the dyeing bit. Hopefully there's enough black dye to change the colour from cream.

Steering wheel restoration kit arrived yesterday so set to. that dark stuff that I assumed was the finish wearing off was infact grime. The alcohol cleaner in the kit barely touched it and there would be no where near enough anyway to do all...
