Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

Oh yes I'm not adverse to a bit of lane upkeep. Cleared a few trees in my time! This obstruction however was intentional so my guess was the guy who owns the land the lane passes through wasn't wanting people to get any further. I've got a fair few tools to get myself out of trouble but I do...

I have just been out scouting some of the lanes, spoke with a farmer. Seemed happy enough. One of the lanes near to here was blocked though.

I was thinking the same, there's one near Roborough which is close to me. I've done some cross reference and used satellite imagery. What looked like a road at first turns out to be a dirt track that seems to cross several fields. It's probably not all that accurate but not to bad to point you...

Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

Haha yes just been looking at all that. It is very much a rabbit hole by the looks of it. Is there a lot of point in joining? Obviously you'd get the very latest info but with the byways maps I've found surely that's fine to go off? Probably wrong and I'll sign up to these organisations anyway...

Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

So I'm having a look on trailwise. Very useful website, I decided to register as a member so I can see foot notes on the various byways but it says I need a registration key from an officer of a member organisation. Anyone know who one of these officers may be? I'm guessing a local council...

Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

Landrake originally, border patrol! Haha Eventually moved down to looe. Getting in and out of there during summer was painful! Mrs wanted to move to plymouth to be closer to family when we had our son so currently stuck behind enemy lines ;) I'll do some cross reference with those various...

Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

Very good point. Emits do generally make things very difficult. I'm from Cornwall originally so I know all about how much of pain the tourists can be in lanes etc. @tripp after a quick search for boats near Plymouth but a bit more cleverly worded than that for obvious reasons I have come...

Devon & Cornwall green laning thread

Hi guys, anyone up for a bit off green lanes or mud? I'm in Plymouth but can travel down to Cornwall (or home as I prefer to call it) or up into Devon. I'd like to get some contacts because at the moment I only know of Baldhu and trax n trails so would like to expand my horizons :) Drop me a pm...

    Baldhu Quarry

Basically I'm looking to pop down to Baldhu Quarry but info seems to be dated. Anyone been recently? I'd be keen to know entry cost and if there's terrain there suitable for someone who hasn't got all the experience in the world! Cheers

    TC & HDC warning lights!

Well I've been and had a look at the brake switch, I'm going to go with that as I have read the switch can cause a weird light arrangement on the dashboard to show the driver it's faulty. Bought a new one on eBay for a tenner so now it's waiting till Monday or next year for it to turn up...

    TC & HDC warning lights!

Hi all, So I've got an 05 freelander and just noticed that as I'm driving I get the amber warning lights for TC and HDC. It's intermittent and there's no telling when it'll occur and after how long of driving or for how long it will occur. All I do know is when these lights are on I can't...

    New here

Hi all, my name is Mike I own a 05 freelander. I live in plymouth though originally from Cornwall. Both the freelander as a family wagon but after going off road in it and seeing how capable it is I'm ready for more. Been off road in a defender once before and looking to buy either a 90 or 110...
