So bit of an update, not got much done as I had a bit of a minor surgery but all good now...
Sunroof doesn't have drain tubes (guessing it's aftermarket!) but shouldn't be too hard to source a replacement if needs be.
The front lower shock mount seems totally goosed, it appears to have a new...

Well it says Land Rover on the catch, but the glass looks like it's got a bit of a curve (very slight) so I'm guessing it's not... It if it is factory it might be off a disco or something? Didn't notice any channels when I looked at it at the weekend though!

Yeah cheers for the heads up, they will no doubt be blocked given how much debris was on it! All seals are hard and perished / partially missing too though and the latch is knackered...
-
I like the sound of that as a stop gap, might order some now, cheers!

Thanks for all the kind words, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, like you say though I'll not be the only one thinking that so security is top of the list!
I'll get those granny slicers off the front then, shame as they look awesome :D
I'd really like to figure out a way of stopping...

Guess mine was more of a shrubbery
-
I've had it for 15years so I think I'm stuck with it lol
-
Anyways back to the Landy....
Got home to a rather moist interior... need to sort the sunroof asap!
-
Oh yeah should probably mention the flat4 is because of my aircooled addiction...
I've got a bug
And an RX7 (I like rotaries too)
And no neither of them work lol
-
Definitely going to sort a tracker, maybe take my steering wheel with me everywhere and get some sort of pedal lock then! A good security measure is that reverse and 1st are pretty much indistinguishable at the minute lol
-
Sounds like a good place to start for some off road fun, I've never had a car capable of mounting a curb let alone greenlaning so I'm a total rookie in that respect.
-
Thought I recognised the name, I've been to Stanford Hall before, we hired it out for two days for a work do a few years back, really nice place!
Looks like a great weekend, need to add a tent to the list now then!
-
Planning on getting it done in a month or so, unless I've missed anything massive June should be no problem! Sounds good I'll check out the link now

Yeah he was a labourer and bought it as a weekend toy to mess about on his mates farm (there's a massive pile of pay and play tickets too). He works 6 days a week and bought a sports bike a year ago so no time to sort out the little things. Don't think he was that mechanically minded either...

Body work is badly sprayed black over white and full of tree scratches (very happy with it for what I paid though!) and yes I think I'll get a tracker on it sharpish given what you guys have said already!
