silver on black plates (pre-1975 manufacture)

Got mine from these guys: http://www.chestnut-registrations.co.uk/vintageplates.aspx Very good quality and plenty of choice options and sizes.

    Air filter/box identification

That is the same airbox and filter set up as mine. I know the engine came from a 1971 P6B auto (obviously 3.5 V8) so assume the airbox came with it. Here's mine. I replaced the original filters and put a silicon hose on the feed at the front of the airbox with a K&N on the other end near the...

    3.5 v8 dies after 10 mins

The P6B engine plugs in my Landy are a shorter reach than in the TVR's I have. I used BP5HS in the Landy (P6B auto engine with SU's similar to yours) and BPR6ES in the TVR's. Not sure if it would make a difference but they are about £15 for 8. As I understand you'd need SD1 heads to use the...

Locking wheel nut tool- crap quality

They are conical - Had Disco 1 steels on when I bought it but now got LWB 7x16 wheels with tubes. Got the locking nuts from RST but they only do Bearmach ones now which I assume are better quality and about £13 more than I paid.

Locking wheel nut tool- crap quality

I have chased them a couple of times. Just poor quality - the pins are a different colour to the tool which doesn't seem to be the case on the ones I can now find. Will send a picture this time so they can see how poor it is.

Locking wheel nut tool- crap quality

Bought some locking wheel nuts for the wheels and tried to remove one the other day and the pins on the tool bent. Only took the old wheel off and put these on so the tools has been used 10 times. they were £32 when I bought them (with the nuts) so not cheap. Contacted the original supplier...

    3.5 V8 MPG

I meant 20+ from the TVR. The Landy is averaging 11-12 in the 2.5 years I've had it. I don't mind as I wanted a V8 and I'm not doing big mileage so as with the TVR I just fill it up and use it.

    3.5 V8 MPG

I'm about 11-12mpg on a standard 3.5 P6B engine in a SWB Station Wagon. My TVR is about 10-15 depending upon how you drive it but that's a 4.3BV. You could get 20+ if you drove carefully but whats the point - I've got other cars which I can drive normally.

    3 pin ignition module.

DAB118 is the 3 pin model and here's a lead to convert 3 to 2 pin. Can't recall te DAB number for the 2 pin, similar but different numbers (maybe 135 or similar)...

    3.5 v8 cam?

Which cam did you go for? I' averaging 11-12mpg but only doing doing less than 1000 miles so not an issue. Sounds glorious, on a par with the TVR (well one of them, the other is significantly louder)

    3.5 v8 cam?

You need something with low down bhp and torque as you're never going to be needing peak power high up the rev range in a series or wanting a high top end as over 60mph you'll be starting to want to slow down. My engine is from a P6B but no idea what cam it has. I've got Kent 885's in both the...
