Help! Alarm just set off on Disco series 2,pushing buttons on key fob did nothing and it was waking all the nieghbours-had to disconnect battery. when I connected it again it all kicked off again. Can I immobolise alarm system and still use the car?

Discovery 2000 (V) series 2 I have a tick tick tick noise which I can here coming from one of my offside wheels/tyres, nothing is caught in tyre or rim.... any ideas?

Does anybody know if I will need a bypass multiplex wiring kit to prevent interference with engine management system when fitting new tow bar? I have a 2000 (V reg) Discovery series 2.
