There have been people here that find them fine. Others have gone to the arduous task of changing all for polys, only then to revert them all to standard due to issues.
Changing them out merely for the sake of it I would say not worth it. If...
Have a look at Sumo Bars

Ive got a pair of these fitted on my P38, they do what they are surposed to while looking very pretty. But i mainly got them for the ability to...
You will struggle on those ramps. Also probably dangerous to have the car on it's wheels with raduis arm(s) removed because there nothing to stop the axle moving back & forth.
It really needs tall axle stands supporting the chassis.
Yeah ive got two small free flow silencers instead of the cats and then the centre silncer. Outside the car its still loud and in my opinion the tone is almost spot on. But once you close the windows and cruising on the highway with some music...
Id put the chassis on jack stands as high up in the air as safely possible so that most of the weight is on the jack stands and not the axle.
When you reinstall the radius arms you might want to be able to move the axle around independetly of the...
That pic looks like the valley gasket metal clamp. The bolt is nowhere near the coolant, so unlikely to be that.
The leak is most like one of the two coolant ports on each head. If I remember correctly the inlet manifold block the two rear...
Took it for a quick spin to Tesco.
Never had so much anxiety in my life! Eyes spent more time on the temp gauge then they did on the road.
Temp looked to be sitting nicely in the middle when I arrived home:
First run in a few months and...
it seemed to be more the later ones. Wammers was on about when their focus changed to l322 they started throwing on whatever they had left in the parts bin on p38s. There was even one with Disco wheels from new iirc
It should have been 4 pin to deal with the stresses of the 4 wheel traction control but 2 pin Thor models have been on here before. There was a big debate (read argument) about it once. Hard to know if it was Land Rover using up old parts or...

Sorry to revive this thread but just an fyi for those worrying about this.
There is an actual fuel filter in built into the pump assembly not just a sock over the pump like people seem to think.
Fuel goes ->sock->pump->fuel filter->past...
-There is quite a large diffrence in the eletrical systems, most of the controllers in the car wont be able to be swapped between thor and gems.
-Gems has a 2 pin front diff while Thor has a 4 pin.
-Gems only has rear wheel traction control while...
Data I encourage you to drive one of the original BMW M5's - they're a dream :)
However I agree with regards to the superior options - personally I'd have a Honda VTEC - statistically most reliable in the world!
Been a while since I drove it, so cant remember for sure. But I think it revved ok in neutral and half revved in gear while sorta moving off.
Will put it back together then and start re-testing with torque converter the focus for now.
So my thinking:
If you have so little power that you cant pull away from a standstill i doubt you'd be able to accelerate upto any kind of speed.
That leads me to think that its not a problem with your engine developing power but rather getting...
