    MPG increase after removing EGR

    Hi All, After de cat on my 300tdi usual increase in performance and big reduction on fuel, 34-36mpg. So, a couple of months later and I remove EGR valve, now she only does 26 mpg. Have sealed the blanking plate so am completely miffed why this has happened, any ideas???????
