It certainly is. Most stuff for an old defender is relatively reasonably priced, and I couldn't bring myself to buy 4 of these for £40-£50!

Bingo! Excellent, so that's £2 for 2m of strap and £2.88 for the fasteners. A bit cheaper thank £40 for 4 original straps. Thank you BenNE

Thanks captain and jackmac I think you are spot on. I just went and unplugged the alternator and the light went out. Does this mean it is the alternator or could it just be a poor earth?
