Freelander 1 [SOLVED] TD4 - Crank shaft end float - how do I get rid of it?

It's not the crank pulley worn it? They are rubber dampered. Similar idea to a dual mass flywheel. It could be the issue?

The light bars are awsome!! Its brilliant how much light they give off. If you're being picky the range isn't quite as good as decent halogens but in reality it doesn't matter a toss. I have a 36 inch one mounted halfway back on the roof otherwise you get a lot of glare on the bonnet

what gadgets and gizmos have you installed?

I changed the whole steering wheel so wouldn't know how to do just the switches,it looks like you would need to cut a bit out the side of the wheel. And as for switches I originally had a rear wiper switch fitted but wanted the little light to tell me they were on so the ac switch works grand,

what gadgets and gizmos have you installed?

Led light bar on roof, spot lights on lower half of the bumper (used an air con switch and swapped the cover from the blank switch above the rear fog switch to the air con switch that I etched a spot light symbol, makes the job look a bit more factory) , apline head unit installed with the hands...

    40" LED Bar

I have a 38 inch bar on top of the freelander and it doesn't quite fit between the rails so I don't think a 40 inch would look out of place, if you mount it halfway back you don't get any glare on the bonnet, they are amazing the light bars its like day light with them on

    Coolant fans not working td4

Hello, I would try bridging where the relay goes with a piece of wire, if the fan works then you know its a problem on the actual triggering of the relay, if it doesn't work then you need to check lives and earths to the fan.

    1st Gear

Could be worn gearbox, or linkages, mine has a combination and frettling the linkages helped a fair bit, I used rose joint m8 and welded them to the end of the rods instead of the normal ball joint, however if you think its the clutch try bleeding it or changing the master cylinder, if it...
