Hey guys,

Spec wise, for my budget only the Ford kuga is coming anywhere close,but it just doesnt have the look that the FL2 does. Im looking at Xs spec and with that im getting heated seats and heating front windscreen, sat nav and depending on how late a model I find dab radio.

Yeah I want the xs spec and higher as I want heated seats/windscreen and sat nav. Do freelander2 suffer from chassis rot or are they too young for this?

Im still debating whether to get a landy as a weekend car (budget 5-6k) or sell my Vw T5 kombi to give myself a bigger budget and use the landy as my daily. Im thinking cheap beater to start with then if I love the landy experience I can sell both the beater and the T5 and upgrade to a nicer...

Currently doing my homework on purchasing a defender, and was curious to know if anyone has just been lucky and picked up a cheap £5-6000 landy and just been able to use it as is with noth major repair bills in the first few years?
I only ask cos im worried im over thinking things with regards...

Im also a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars( I dont understand people that ignore or neglect to keep their cars in tip top mechanical condition).
Im quite lucky that I work for main dealer selling cars, so have work colleagues/friends to look after the mechanical side for me.
