Thanks for your help, I eventually got it open following your lead. code 1515 actually worked on my 2000 p38 but I had to turn the key to lock position 4 times before entering the code. My lock is a bit slack, I had to turn the key a little bit off the center each time when it returns.

Am new to this forum, I am locked out of my Range Rover 2000 p38, battery is flat and I recently changed batteries on my fob key, got the car at auto auction 11yrs ago. Am in Chicago, dealers want an arm and a leg to re-program
