Hi everyone!
I've been away a long time!
Just wondering if anyone could help me.
I fitted a lift kit in 2014 when I bought the Freelander. I took the car down to my local garage and asked them to check everything was aligned properly and they said it was all fine. 3 or 4 months after that I...

Split over 2 days as I had visitors but in total around 5 hours.

Thanks for the write-up and suggestions.
I changed my thermostat yesterday, was hoping to get away with adding the Renault one in the hose but my thermostat was leaking water whenever I used the internal heater. Managed to do East Sussex to Manchester a few times without a problem but no heat in...

Changed the thermostat yesterday and had the wheel off. Noticed the new tyres have been rubbing on full lock.
Think I will need to get a set of spacers.

Replaced the cracked air-con belt, replaced the rear diff mounts so I can return the faulty centre diff mount (less than a year old & VCU & bearings replaced so shouldn't have gone this quickly) & gave it a hoover.
Still waiting for the snow to come down south so I can have a play!

Perfect! Got to get myself one of them!

Thanks for all the replies, I'll stay away from the side steps then!
Would this lift-mate allow me to lift a wheel on & get enough height to remove the other wheel on the same side?

I really want to use the Jack & as I have the lift kit & big tyres the standard Jack can't lift it anywhere near enough to get...

Ah thanks for that. Can safely get my roof tent then!

No problems with the weight then Winu? I assumed the Freelander was limited to the usual 75kg load on the roof?

Hi everyone.
I'm planning a camping trip in the spring. Was just collecting all equipment together and thought about getting a roof tent.
Will the 3 door Freelander cope with it & with the weight of 2 regular sized people sleeping in it?

Thanks for all the advice.
I guess my first step is to find some bucket seats that are comfortable and fit my size nicely and then fabricate my own base using the existing ones.
Better dust off the welder then!

Hi everyone.
Having played around with my Freelander a bit more lately I've realised I hate the front seats. I'm 6'1" & have broad shoulders & the top on the standard cloth seats are sitting in my shoulder blades, which means it doesn't stop me sliding in my seat & it isn't comfortable. Also the...

Hoping someone can help me.
I've recently changed all the rubber brakes hoses for stainless steel Hel lines and also replaced the rear drum cylinders.
I bled the entire brake system and the brakes work with the first press of the pedal, but if I lift my foot and press it down again the pedal...
