Hi there, As the title says, my Discovery 2 is making a loud whirring noise when cold. When idling it's fine, but it's quite loud when I depress the accelerator. Is this something I need to worry about? ie. Is it going to cost me a load of money? I'm due to go on holiday in a few weeks...

I would rather have answers to my specific situation from the guys in the know. Thanks

Hey all, My uncle is buying a new Land Rover and has offered me his old Discovery for £9k (this is what he's been offered part ex). It's a black 53 plate with an automatic diesel engine and 60k on the clock. It has leather throughout, has the rear parking sensors. It's in mint condition...
