hi vic the mileage is 56000, oil levels all ok and the noise has been a gradually getting louder over time, but as you say it does make a whining noise like all cars reversing but mines special it makes a very loud whining noise,

hi everyone can anyone give me any ideas what this is. i have a freelander ES 1800cc y reg, ONLY when i am reversing i get this very load whining noise seems to come from somewhere middle to front of car its hard to tell really. it also feels a little tight so i have to give it a bit more revs...
