the live feed must come from the ignition switch.

No there is no live feed from the battery.

oil pressure
oil pressure was tested at the time of the first failure 25psi at Idle. All turbo's are garret. The current failure is after the engine overheated whilst in heavy traffic.

the live feed (+) wire goes to the + side on the coil. From the - on the coil take a wire to the distributor if using points. If using an after market system go online and they should be a wiring diagram.

after full engine rebuild,and new turbo, the turbo has failed 3 times in as many years. Why?
