Could it be the indicator stalk. The voltage that goes through it and tarnish on the joints fail. I had to do a similar check when main beam failed. Turned out to be a worn out stalk. Dunt the horn run through it?

My loft is gleaming now. I’m just in the process of spraying down everything with a Dettol solution. I’m not the biggest fan of Dettol smell but it’s an improvement on smelling like burnt hair on a turd. Problem is I go up there, spray and come out soaked as it’s a 1000 degrees in the shade.

I agree with the others here that bulkhead is ok. Most of it will be spot welds and most folk even a novice can spot weld.
