Thanks discomark88. I had a second look and found the black box thingy. It was in the scuttle tray.. Now have 2 black box things. Still not 100% sure which wire should go on what thread. Rev counter still doesn't work and I know it's not a faulty rev counter

Hi. A friend of mine decided to pull half the motor apart before I owned the disco. It's now up and running, kind of. I guessed which wire went where on the alternator but I've got it wrong. My rev counter now doesn't work too. I have a cable I can't figure out where it goes, it's a white 5 amp...

Thanks RichP. Yes 200TDI. Which hose goes to which on the front? There's 2 hoses for 1 side but i'm not sure which 2 to connect up to get my brakes working. Not sure if i've made sense there.
