Also, wouldn't removing the converter and its sensors not just result in the same issues that I have now, especially if the sensors are disconnected... wont that cause the engine light to come on and the car go into "Limp Mode" or whatever it is? Thanks, Darren

Is that the only way? are there no ohms/electrical tests that I can try to determine if its the sensors that are faulty? ive just looked under the FL and the bolts on the flange joints are very rusty, and I don't want to risk ballsing the bolts up to do the test to later find out I cant put it...

its done 68000, and to my knowledge the heaviest thing it towed is a horse box within the last 18 months or so, but before that I don't know.

The box will not go into steptronic mode, I can push the lever over and it does display sport on the lcd, but when I let go it goes back to auto. It drives as normal in auto, up until the 4th gear change is needed, I can also put it into 4th on the lever, but again when it comes to 4th gear...

Ok, ill have to take it for a god test drive tomorrow to see if the oil change has made any difference. Can you tell me if the engine management light is illuminated when a gearbox fault is recognised, even though I have no fault codes displayed on the lcd screen.
