I think they're pretty useless, as the Freelander alternator sits pretty low, so if you go in water over the specified 40cm you're likely to need to replace the alternator, which isn't cheap. So in my humble opinion, a snorkel is only going to be cosmetic, and not actually increase the wading...

Had condensation inside my Freelander - think it came from the cubby in the rear. Air con has a gas leak, and don't want to spend money getting it fixed, so couldn't use it to get rid of condensation. Bought one of these from B&Q, and found it wedges nicely in the recess where the rear armrest...

Had a similar problem coming from the back of my 52 TD4. New set of tyres sorted it out (they needed replaced anyway).

I've got an annoying squeak that sounds similar - have had two garages claim to have "fixed" it by adjusting the handbrake, but neither fix has worked. With mine the noise goes away if the handbrake is engaged slightly. However, when the handbrake is fully released it comes back again fairly...
