Could well be that when you braked hard, something gave up on the ABS front. The TC and HDC systems both rely on the ABS working, so if it's gone tits-up, the HDC and TC lights will also come on. Hope that's a help, but ultimately you'll need to get it to a garage...

We don't take up any more space on the road, we keep our cars serviced and emissions down, but we're different, so an easy target. If you feel guilty about having a 4x4(!) you could give some money to some tree huggers to plant trees to offset your carbon emissions. Letter in LRO this month...

The military do, in some cases, fit steering guards, and I can see the logic, everything is pretty exposed underneath. Worth noting that squaddies are not the cleverest sometimes when it comes to driving cautiously, not like they pay for the repairs! The Mantec guards are very nice to look...

I'm new to Land Rover ownership, having just bought a '51 plate Disco TD5. Not my first 4x4, had a Jeep Wrangler a few years ago (am I allowed to mention them on here?!), but had a few sportier cars in-between, just not as much fun as 4x4s! I'm looking to make my bog-standard Disco a bit more...
