it has been jump started plenty of times throughout the 'renovation period' with no problems. it only required the security code recently. i will see if i can get a diagnostics test done. Would the engine still crank if it there is a loss of sync?

I have eventually got my range rover 2.5 diesel into a position to sell. Various things completed including alternator, brakes, air springs M.O.T ect it started perfectly yesterday and all throughout the day. Today, however with all the 'for sale' signs in the windows a person came to look at it...

The engine is on when I am engaging the relay. There is no fault messages. It seems that it needs to be reset with diagnostics. I am going to a local garage who know his land rovers in south gloucestershire. I got the car at a very good price so have leeway to spend money on it.

i understand that. there is no EAS fault message on dash so i am not aware of a 'logged' fault

also, even with air in the tank after manually engaging pump the car does not raise. something is not letting the tank fill up the airbags. so essentially there are 2 points of error. relay not being activated and stored air not being sent to airbags

i have had a look. The pump works only when manually switching the relay with its cover off. The pump is filling up the supply tank. Something somewhere is not telling the relay to engage thus not powering the pump. perhaps the system needs a reset with an EAS kicker or diagnostics? or a switch...
