I've never used the stuff, I would think it's good stuff. What I think you'll find is as it cools down it thickens up so at normal running temp it's just a runny as water.

Does sound like a drive shaft, you Disco shouldn't have a third diff because they did away with it around 2000 and relied on traction control. A long shot but your traction control can make a noise and if you had a loose exciter ring that would bring the ABS on but you'd have it lit up on the dash.

I will check the pump before removing the tank. It is the 3 litre V6. Don't think there are any lights on in the dash. Battery is a bit low at the moment so I've got it on charge at the moment.

Non so far, only just got it home. I am thinking perhaps it's the electric fuel pump which I'm guessing may be in the fuel tank. My first check would be to switch on the ignition and listen to the sound of the pump running.

New to Landyzone but not new to Land Rovers. First Land Rover was a 1964 Series II 109 diesel then a Disco 2 TD5 and I now have a Series III 109 petrol ex MOD and a Disco 4.
