    Ok. got the shroud off the steering column and lo and behold, a detached live wire. The welding was a red herring. Who knows how long I've not had lights for. It's summer after all. So its off to the mot tomorrow. lets see what the disco throws up this time. Thanks, peter

    Hi Guys, just got my 200 tdi ready for it's mot. Final check of lights and lo and behold....nowt! Ignition lights come on and she starts ok. Indicators work, headlight flashes, horn works - all from the stalk - but there are no sidelights, rear lights, dip or main beam. All the fuses are ok...

    Clutch noise?

    Hi Guys. My '94 Disco, 2.5 TDi has started making a worrying noise while gears engaged, when accelerating, in all gears (not in reverse). When clutch depressed and freewheeling it stops. It doesn't make a noise when revving hard but not in gear, or when 'cruising' with engine under minimum...

    Disco handbrake / transmission problems.

    Thanks for the reassurance - just panicked at the unknown. Went back down to the workshop, dropped the Disco onto 4 wheels, started up and put it in gear....and it wouldn't move. Handbrake was too tight! Adjusted now and working just right. Whats an open diff then? :o DeePete

    Hi, I'm Pete from Crieff in Scotland. Bought a mot failed Disco against all advice from wise old heads in local pub. I've fixed almost everything on the fail slip and feeling quite confident, with the back wheels off the ground, in reverse, I've adjusted the handbrake to hold the propshaft...
