it also goes to show in the price you pay for 300tdi's the price is strong still as its the most sort after defender engine. i belive its got a slightly more reliable turbo on the 300tdi's i dunno if this is true tho any else shed any light on if the turbo's are the same

dont touch a td5 all mine did is break down ive now gone back to a 300tdi and its so much better to drive even tho it does make abit of noise i thought it drank less oil that my first landy which was a 200tdi and slightly better on fuel and you can feel a difference in power i think but hay...

ive gone for a terrafirma suspension lift i ordered from frogs island 2day its in a medium set up so lets hope its as good as they say shame its a boring colour tho dull grey........

i tryed the letting the clutch out all the way and pulling away it helped loads but it didnt stop it totally i have to give it loads of revs to stop the problem when you try sit at a steady speed say 15mph in 2nd or 3rd it loves to do it aswel with only the slightest throttle applyed. its not...

it only happens when accelerating gently? it you give it some beans it dont happen disengaged to me means you have let the clutch all the way out after selecting gear so it is now running on its own power before you give it any throttle, i probley worded it wrong thats just the way i see it

ok ill give it a try next week when im off work but the clutch is completly disengaged when it happens

ive got a problem with my td5 its a 1998 td5 so one of the early ones that came out its got 153000 miles on it and it goes like stink when it gets going but the problem is when pulling away in 1st and 2nd some times it judders so you have to let off the throttle then go back on it and it works...
