yep in the 300, was a good 7 or 8 mile as well

mates bonnet catch was realy stiff and felt jammed today, cleaned the catch with with that bolt loosening spray stuff then blathered it in chain grease- jobs a good'un now

like paul c says, AA has better service. when i had the landy and the prop fell off they sent a low loader, another time when the water pump died they said it would be a 3 hour wait for the low loader or if i was confident to be towed they would send the van- VW van towed me home with the bar

UPDATE: just rang to tell me, the rev counter stops fluttering when the lights are on- turn lights off and it starts dancing again

size 15 spanner (i think) on the wheel end of the tensioner and turn anti-clockwise it will pull it up - be stiff though!

hi all, sold my disco a while back now but a mate of mine is now having a few problems with his 300tdi (ill never get clean hands!) anyway.. been having a squeek from the water pump for a few days and on inpection it has a little play in the pulley-not much but its planned to change...

had a similar problem last Xmas, had to anchor on for some t**t on the wrong side of the road and it dragged sharply to the left nearly in a ditch! took it for one of them free brake checks at ****-fit and they could find nothing wrong, stamped on them a few times after to see if it did it...

right, i shall inspectigate tomorrow. is it likley to fall off or will i be ok just turning the music up

its a 98 300tdi gs, dont think ive ever used the back watering hole but i take it it will rattle, seems to be a bit better when you go past tilt and slide it half inch- but still sounds like its about to drop out. seems solid when i rattle it but bangs like buggary when driving

are we talking buttons on the head unit or the ones on the dash round the clocks?
