Hi Everyone,
Last year my 2004 D2 died (a tree fell on it) and I am looking at a D1 300TDI auto. I am interested to know if the D1 Auto locks the gear when in Lo Ratio when descending hills etc. Regards, Dave.

Nig43 & Lynall, The front tyres are the same make and there is no obvious signs of irregular wear on them and the pressures are spot on. I have swapped the rears over as these are different makes but this made no difference. Dave.

We have the above on 18 in wheels and noticed that there is a slight tendancy to track to the left ever since we have had the car (about 14mths). We had had the tracking checked and adjusted twice and both times indicate a slight toe out (1deg.) on the rear right and toe in (0.5deg.) on the rear...
